we’re Jammin’

The preserves shelf is looking pretty healthy – I’ve just got the grape jelly to do when they ripen, fingers crossed they’re looking good and if we get to them before the blackbird we should be fine!!

  1. Impressive. I usually do many pounds of jelly from morello cherries, and give many jars away. Maybe because of the rain through to July there was hardly any harvest, so I left the joy to the blackbirds. Same with other fruit, not many Bramley apples showing, no apple sauce this year.


  2. Reminds me of my Mom’s shelves in the fall. She always made chokecherry jelly and a yellow mustard relish. 🙂
