The Egret

On holiday and revisiting Andernos where the house is that inspired the story The Egret.  This is the nearest I have been so far to chic lit.  In life imitating art in a strange way the house is now available for rent.  In the story Jenny runs to France when her marriage collapses and rents this house on the sea-shore.  When we saw it two years ago it was not a rental property.  How odd.  I was surprised when I looked at it that I had remembered so much about it when writing the story, the balcony, the little steps etc.  It was odd to see it again in real life with the fiction in my mind.

Anyway I will make The Egret free on Facebook for three days from tomorrow as a sort of little celebration at our renewed vacation and maybe Jenny will find the house that was so very important to her in her search for an identity.
