I am not happy with my present cover for The Grave. I have had another try and would love to know which you think might be an improvement.
I wanted to stay with the idea of the digging which is the beginning of the book because the burial-place resonates through the story. I like the font and have kept that the same but what do you think about these. Please vote at the end. 🙂
I vote for 2. I like 3 as well, but it seems to have less to do with the title.

I liked # 2 as well, but I think I still prefer the original cover. There’s more colour and the title, in white, stands out more than the red. Although the shovel isn’t quite as prominent in the original, I think the forest-like feel of the background is more in keeping with where they buried the first body and of the place where they hide out for awhile.

That’s very helpful thank you

I don’t much like the font on any of the covers, the red is very dull against the dullish background and the snow effect on the letters is strange. How about a pic of the shovel stuck in the ground taking the shot up against the sky as if you’re standing in the grave, or am I just getting carried away? I’d make the text colour brighter and use a more classic font like the one for Who Follows. Like that cover.

Okay – that’s really helpful as well. I think that the idea of standing in the grave is good but of course the activity took place at night so it would need to be a night sky – actually that’s not a bad idea. Thanks for the comment on the Who Follows Cover I have to say that it remains my favourite.
